One can shop with a purpose at a market full of local vendors! Not only that, but there is also a night under the stars at Cambium Farms to go with it! Jessica Medeiros, the coordinator for the Shop with Purpose Market, joins us to share the details!
Shop with Purpose is a local vendor market, based in Dufferin County, that started in March 2019. In addition to coordinating markets, they also host events such as painting classes and calligraphy workshops. On Friday, September 26, from 6 pm to 10 pm, they are hosting a ‘date night’ at Cambium Farms. This outdoor vendor market will include a licensed bar, food, and live music. There will also be mini photo-sessions available for a nominal fee.
Saturday, September 26th from 11 am to 2 pm, there will be a full market held in the parking lot of Community Living Dufferin. Also, for those who cannot make it during these times, there is a virtual market available through the Shop with Purpose website which includes vendors from all over. Regardless of how you shop, it will still be with a purpose.
With every market and event, Shop With Purpose contributes a portion of its proceeds to a local organization, such as charities and non-profits, in order to give back to the community. They have donated to groups such as Family Transition Place, Alzheimer’s Society of Dufferin, and Bethell Hospice. For September, they will be giving to Choices Youth Shelter in Orangeville.
