In Shelburne, Limitless Inc. by My Crafty Neighbour makes available a wide and ever-changing selection of unique home decor items, many of which are hand-made by artisans right here in Dufferin County. During the pandemic of 2020, it is heartening to see a retail store open. Even more so when space is made for other local businesses, many of which have been reliant on in-person markets in the past, to continue selling their goods without having to rely on an online channel. Of course, with a name like Limitless Inc., there has to be more.
Tara De Dominicis McCreadie and Laura Meakings, owners of Limitless Inc. by My Crafty Neighbour, have included room for a DIY studio. This allows for people to participate in workshops, such as wreath-making and paint nights, some of which could be led by the many creators selling products in the store. Also, groups can request an exclusive workshop, perfect for a birthday party or a night out. There may even be “Mommy and Me” type classes held during the day.
My Crafty Neighbour, a company that creates home decor, was established after Laura and Tara met each other having both recently moved to Shelburne with the plan to be stay-at-home-moms. It didn’t turn out that way though! In addition to growing their home decor business, My Crafty Neighbour has hosted annual holiday craft shows in support of organizations such as Sick Kids Hospital and the local Shepherd’s Cupboard Food Bank. Now they have expanded from markets into their very own store.
In addition to Tara and Laura’s My Crafty Neighbour products, the Limitless family includes Dufferin County Goods Co., Jade’s Junkyard Jems, Becca’s Crochet Corner, These Little Pegs, Owl Lake Designs, The Knot and Needle, North Woodworking, CharBees Trinkets, and North Designs. The Limitless family is constantly growing so be sure to check in regularly to see what is new with this growing business!
Custom orders can be placed, granting one the ability to gift something particularly meaningful this year. It gets better though, because, with something from Limitless Inc. by My Crafty Neighbour, one would also be supporting multiple local businesses during one of the toughest times in history.
Limitless Inc. by My Crafty Neighbour is located at 117 Owen Sound Street in Shelburne. From Tuesday to Friday, hours range from 9 am to 8 pm to allow people to shop after commuting home from work. Weekend hours are 9:30 am to 6 pm on Saturdays, and 10 am to 5 pm on Sundays. Hours may adjust closer to the holiday season.
