If you are ready to donate blood, you will have your chance soon. In August, two blood drives are taking place, one in Shelburne and one in Orangeville. We also discuss changes in restrictions when visiting long-term care facilities.

Shelburne’s blood drive takes place on Friday, August 14th at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex located at 200 Fiddle Park Lane from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Orangeville event takes place on Monday, August 24th at the Best Western Plus Inn & Suites located at 7 Buena Vista Drive from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. Book your appointment now at www.blood.ca.

The Ontario Government has announced changes to its restrictions pertaining to visiting long-term care facilities. All visits can now accommodate two people, and COVID tests are no longer required for outdoor visits. Outdoor visitors will be required to wear and supply their own face coverings.
Indoor visits will be permitted as of July 22nd, but visitors will have to verbally attest to having received a negative result on a COVID test in the past two weeks. Indoor visitors are required to wear masks that the long-term care facility provides.
