Nordstar Capital purchased Torstar, and they are putting former Premier of Ontario David Peterson in the position of Vice-Chairman. Current CEO John Boynton will stay in his current role. The plan is to stick with the current transformation strategy, so it is quite possible Torstar Local is still happening! This may accelerate the demise of Orangeville newspapers and local journalism!!
